The following is a summary of activity for Dec. 8-13, 2021

Quite the effort to find him

12:24 a.m. Lake Almanor Peninsula. A caller reports her husband was leaving around 4 p.m. to Rancho Murrieta and is still not home. The subject is 72 in a blue Mercedes SUV. She tried to call several times and the phone may be dead. He went to get an iPad and the iPad is pinging to the cabin. Penn Fire did a welfare check and there was no one home in Rancho Murrieta. The caller said the victim has COPD and CHF but nothing that should impair his driving. 1:52 a.m. A deputy advised unable to locate anyone at the location or around the lake. The information was forwarded to Tehama and Butte counties. 2:03 a.m. A deputy requested a ping of the phone. The last ping was at 20:25 GMT, close to High Lakes. 3:38 a.m. The information was forwarded to Susanville, Chico and Sacramento CHP. 4:04 a.m. The caller advised the victim would only have stayed on paved roads and would not take any short cuts or dirt roads. 4:13 a.m. A missing person’s report was faxed to the Chester substation. 4:15 a.m. Dispatch advised a ping just off Hwy. 32, a possible vehicle off the roadway. 7:12 a.m. The caller recontacted and said she received a call from Mercedes emergency response line. She said they would not specify why they were calling unless law enforcement was on the line but did say they could trace the car. 7:40 a.m. Mercedes reports there was a roadside assist call at 8:56 a.m. this morning. The vehicle last pinged near Shingle Springs. 7:45 a.m. The info was sent to CHP in Susanville who will notify Sacramento CHP. 8:02 a.m. ATT reports the most current location is the intersection of Whispering Pines Lane and Consolation Court. 8:09 a.m. CHP advised they have located the missing person just west of Ponderosa Road on Hwy. 50. It was requested that he call his wife. 8:54 a.m. The missing person’s report was removed from all data bases.

Wake-up call needs an adjustment

5:05 a.m. Chester. A caller reports a neighbor’s dog starts barking every morning at 5 a.m. and it wakes him up.

6:12 a.m. Cromberg. A caller reports a vehicle slid off at Lee Summit with unknown injuries.

7:06 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports someone poured gas on her porch.

7:06 a.m. Blairsden. A caller states her boyfriend hid her keys. While looking for them he threw her to the ground. They have a small child together. The caller and child are at her parent’s home now. 7:10 a.m. There are no weapons. The boyfriend is still at the address. 8:32 a.m. A deputy reports the suspect is subject to arrest for battery charges already on the books. The suspect is also possibly driving drunk. Information was sent to CHP. 11:43 a.m. A deputy reports the arrest of the subject on the previously pending charges.

9:59 a.m. Portola. A caller reports sighting at least five mountain lions on her property this morning around 7 a.m. The caller is concerned because she has animals and runs an in-home child care business. 10:06 a.m. The info was relayed to Fish and Wildlife and was faxed to the Portola substation.

11:01 a.m. Quincy. A caller at the Hope Chest reports a subject donated a wallet and it contains the subject’s social security card. The caller requests the card be picked up. 5:04 p.m. A detective advised contacting the victim who will advise when she is home from work and a night shift deputy will return the property.

11:04 a.m. Chester. A caller reports a painter hired by his contractor called and threatened him. 12:06 p.m. A sergeant contacted the suspect who agreed to go through the contractor and keep the peace.

1:10 p.m. Portola. A caller reports his debit card has been erroneously getting charged by an entity in Portola for $2,000.

1:12 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports his wife’s son is threatening him and he wants him to move out. 3:12 p.m. A deputy provided civil procedures.

2:05 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a small child playing near the highway wearing a blue shirt. The caller is concerned because of the child’s close proximity to the highway. 2:24 p.m. The child was released to a parent.

Breaking up won’t be so hard to do

3:44 p.m. Crescent Mills. A caller reports a recent argument. Her boyfriend is wasted and came into her house, broke a window, and threw the caller’s belongings outside. The suspect has now left the residence. 3:53 p.m. A sergeant advised contact with the caller and told her a deputy would be enroute when one is in position. 6:28 p.m. The victim requested contact from victim witness in the morning.

Loitering or shopping for marks

5:34 p.m. Portola. A caller reports a suspicious male loitering in the parking lot and staring at women in the complex. The subject is a white male with a crew cut, goatee and heavy set about 6’1” tall wearing a black jacket and jeans. 6:39 p.m. A deputy was unable to locate the suspect but will do patrol checks throughout the night.

6:02 p.m. Chester. A caller reports a physical argument where they were hit in the head with a chain. The parties are separated. The caller requested medical assistance for the head injury. The subject is back at another residence. 6:49 p.m. The patient was transported to the hospital. A deputy was unable to locate the subject. 8:42 p.m. The victim requested contact from victim witness in the morning.

9:32 p.m. Portola. A caller requests information on file of a subject who is a tenant and being belligerent and aggressive toward staff. 12:09 a.m. A deputy advised counseling the subject and the subject said the staff were being aggressive toward him. 12:10 a.m. Civil procedures were provided to both parties.

11:06 p.m. Taylorsville. A caller requests medical assistance for a 59-year-old male with a head injury. The caller is not with the victim and does not know if the victim is awake. The caller said the victim is inside the bar and the caller is outside. The caller said multiple people are currently fighting inside the bar, 2-4 people, no weapons. 11:10 p.m. A second caller advised of the same. The victim was pushed down and hit his head. The victim is breathing but has a loss of consciousness. The second caller is with the victim. The caller said the subjects have left the bar on foot. 11:23 p.m. Indian Valley Fire, Crescent Mills Fire and PDH were paged. 2:26 a.m. A deputy advised the case is closed pending further information from the victim due to the high level of intoxication.

11:59 a.m. Chester. A subject was booked on drunk driving, evading arrest and open container in a moving vehicle, and taken to jail.

12:02 a.m. Delleker. A caller reports a telephone line hanging low on the road. 12:14 a.m. A crew was sent out. 1:03 a.m. A deputy paged Eastern Plumas Fire to monitor the scene. 1:43 a.m. The cable line is being attended to by the rural electric company.

12:39 a.m. Chester. A caller reports wires down across the road, no sparking. 12:47 a.m. CHP advised they believe the wire is buried in snow and requests a deputy check on it when able. No CHP unit was in position. 2:30 a.m. A deputy advised the cable line was moved out of the road.

12:41 a.m. Chester. A caller reports a suspicious person on her porch. She cannot see them but can hear them. She advised she is alone and very scared. 1:24 a.m. A deputy checked the area and was unable to locate anyone.

3:05 a.m. Keddie. A caller requests medical services for a solo vehicle accident with one occupant. The driver is out of the vehicle. It is a female who appears to be okay, but the caller is unsure. The caller said it is a red Toyota SUV and it is still on the road. Quincy Fire and PDH were paged. 3:25 a.m. Quincy Rescue Vehicle advised no injury but will stand by until a CHP unit arrives on the scene.

5:57 a.m. Portola. A caller reports that while getting ready for work she heard a male juvenile, approximately 10-years-old, crying. The caller said that she went outside and located a juvenile outside of his porch crying and saying, “Please let me back in.” The caller asked the child if he was okay. The child said he was fine but would not provide any further information. The caller said she was talking to the juvenile from the street and never saw or heard an adult come outside. The caller said the juvenile appears to be 10, male, and wearing a bright red jacket. 6:29 a.m. A sergeant checked the residence. No footprints were in the snow leading to the door or the house. The sergeant spoke to the owner of the home who refused to provide his name. The owner said no one was on his porch or knocking on his door and no children live at the residence. 7:29 a.m. The sergeant reported unable to locate a child anywhere in the area.

9:51 a.m. Portola. A caller reports her son is stealing money from her bank account. 11:34 a.m. The suspect is in Orovile. All transactions are taking place there. The caller was advised to call Butte County Sheriff’s Office and make a report there. The victim was also counseled on how to lock down her bank account.

10:32 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports he lost his cell phone sometime on the night of 12/7 near Karen Street. The phone is a Galaxy S10 phone.

10:50 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a former employee has collected $2000 in his name. 11:16 a.m. A deputy advised the caller is not out any money. The caller was advised to have the victim call to make a report. The case was closed pending further information.

11:24 a.m. Bucks Lake. Animal Control requests a case number for a dog bite on 12/6 to a 70-year-old male victim.

12:34 p.m. A caller reports her ex took her car last night. He threatened her and her extended family. There was a verbal argument in the Safeway parking lot 20 minutes ago. The car was returned during this time. The suspect was described. 12:56 p.m. The caller was contacted by the subject at the front counter. The caller said that her boyfriend arrived at home at 3 a.m. and was banging on the windows and the door. He kicked the door and left. She stated he told her he was under the influence of drugs. Today there was another argument in the Safeway lot over the vehicle that is registered to the caller. The caller fears the suspect will come back home and cause more issues. The caller also met with Victim Witness. Nothing further is requested at this time.

1:42 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a car wreck in front of the Subway. There are no injuries and no medical services needed.

Tiger Golf Classic well attended

2:17 p.m. Beckwourth Peak. A 911 call came in on an open line, can hear females screaming, sounds like it could be a pocket dial, sounds like a group of people.  3:44 p.m. The deputy attempted to locate the source at Portola High School during the Tiger Classic and did not see anyone in need of help. It is a large event with lots of people.

2:51 p.m. Chester. A daughter requests a welfare check on her mother. She got a text from the victim that she is being abused by a suspect who is also making threats to kill the victim’s animals. The victim is in a travel trailer. The suspect has turned off the water and power. Weapons are unknown. 2:59 p.m. A case has already been reported, the exact same circumstances on Dec. 7. 3:29 p.m. A deputy advises proper procedures were provided to both parties who agreed to keep the peace.

Paying for the privilege to argue

5:31 p.m. Portola. A caller reports threats due to a civil issue. The caller reports a mentally unstable ex-partner making threats to her. The subject is on the same lease but not currently living there. The subject is threatening to enter the residence and cause problems. The subject is still paying rent. 6:21 p.m. A deputy contacted the caller and said there were no threats, it is a civil issue only. Proper procedures were provided.

Drunks duke it out … virtually

6:05 p.m. Zoom DUI program. A caller reports a verbal dispute on a zoom meeting for a DUI course. The other party is unknown in the DUI class. No deputy response is requested at this time unless the other party reports the dispute.

6:38 p.m. Quincy. A caller requests deputy contacts regarding property a subject refused to return. The property is a Samsung tablet. 7:33 p.m. A deputy advised it is a civil matter and civil procedures were provided.

12:11 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a loud college party where there is music and multiple people are yelling. 12:41 a.m. A deputy advises checking the area, which was quiet upon arrival. The deputy spoke to two females who live at the residence, unknown names, and both females agreed to keep the peace for the night.

5:01 a.m. Portola. A caller reports that they can see a power pole on fire. The caller says she can see flames at the top. Beckwourth Fire was paged, and the information was relayed to Liberty Energy. 5:28 a.m. Liberty Energy is on the scene and released them from the scene. The power is off to the area and the company will repair the pole.

8:24 a.m. Greenville. A caller reports a vehicle off the roadway in the ditch, a green Ford Explorer. 8:50 a.m. No occupants were on the scene. CHP will handle.

4:42 p.m. Chester. A caller reports an argument with his wife. Both parties are intoxicated. 5:34 p.m. A deputy reports a verbal argument only. The parties are separated within the residence and have agreed to keep the peace.

6 p.m. Portola. A caller reports a known person just took her house key and mailbox key. The suspect left on his bike toward Portola on a back road.

A new use for GPS

2:07 a.m. Chester. A caller reports that she believes someone was trying to break into her back yard. The caller thinks she scared off the subject but is unsure. 3:03 a.m. A deputy advised locating an intoxicated subject who appears to be lost and trying to find a house on another street. The deputy took the intoxicated subject to the address and released him to a responsible adult.

6:10 a.m. Graeagle. A caller requests to speak to a deputy about a civil matter. The caller said she filed for a temporary restraining order with the courts and requested a move out order for her ex. The caller said that the ex has returned to the home. The caller said she is not currently at the residence, she left on Dec. 8 to stay at a family member’s home. The caller said she only packed for a few days and would like to return home. The TRO is on file but has not yet been served. 8:39 a.m. When a deputy spoke with the caller, she said she is not currently available for standby service and will recontact. 7:34 p.m. A sergeant advised the caller would like to be notified when the restraining order has been served to request a civil standby.

8:22 a.m. Cromberg. A caller reports a blue sedan off the roadway on its roof. The caller states nobody is around. They stopped to check. The caller is still with the vehicle.

2:22 p.m. Chester. A caller reports a vehicle hit a building, a white car with one occupant. No injuries are reported, and the driver is out of the vehicle but the building is damaged.

Drink and drive … off to jail

3:06 p.m. Quincy. A drunk driver was arrested at the corner of Quincy Junction Road and Lee Road and taken to jail.

4:40 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a homeless man from Idaho. The caller said the man has mental health issues, is 42 years old, is wearing a hoodie, has a tattooed face and is carrying a clear plastic bag. The caller said the man is not causing a disturbance. 5:23 p.m. A sergeant advised the subject is transient with mental health issues. PDH is working to provide assistance. The subject is refusing any other assistance or services.

Finally, three hots and a cot for this wanderer

8:10 p.m. Portola. A caller requests a deputy response at a laundromat. An unknown male is sleeping in a sleeping bag in the laundromat area. 8:41 p.m. A sergeant requests a probation check on a known subject. The subject was arrested for a violation of a drunk in public charge and taken to jail.

9:40 p.m. Lake Almanor. A caller reports that he is having an issue with a neighboring house having a company pour cement. The company is shining their headlights at his house. 10:06 p.m. The caller recontacted and advised he no longer needs assistance.

3:53 a.m. Chester. A caller reports that a subject is outside his residence causing a disturbance, honking the horn. The caller went outside to confront the subject and the subject made some threats to the caller. The caller then returned inside to call. The caller said the subject is still outside his home in the drive way, just honking the horn and yelling. The subject is in a Chevy pickup that is silver or white. Weapons are unknown. A response is not possible due to the time it would take to get to Chester in the weather. 4:45 a.m. A sergeant advised to refer to the criminal report for harassment and trespassing. Temporary restraining order procedures were provided.

4:50 a.m. Blairsden. A caller reports that a chimney fire is small at this time but can only see smoke at the roof line. Graeagle Fire was paged. 6:25 a.m. The chimney fire has been extinguished.

The streets have watchful eyes

12:01 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a speeding driver heading west through Quincy. The vehicle is a black Jetta, and the full license plate was provided.

2:28 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a horse on the road at the intersection of Chandler Road and Hwy. 70. The caller will stay until a responsible party arrives. A third caller reports a horse on the roadway. A fourth caller reports a horse on Highway 70. 2:35 p.m. A fifth caller reports the horse is running in the roadway. A sixth caller. A deputy is headed that way for traffic control. 2:40 p.m. The horse is now in the pasture at an address on Hwy. 70. 3:11 p.m. A deputy advised the owner of the horse is on the scene.

Rock slide on Hwy. 70- Quelle surprise!

3:04 p.m. Paxton. A caller reports a rock slide across the road, about two miles west of the Greenville wye. 3:10 p.m. A second caller reports a rock slide on Hwy. 70 near Paxton blocking the westbound lane.

Dollar Door Dash-was the back door unlocked?

3:24 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports some pre-teen juveniles were at her door. The door bell rang then the pre-teens tried to give her a dollar bill. They did not say a word. One had on a coon-skin hat, another had basketball-type shorts. They left on foot going southbound. The caller does not want contact, just wanted to report the strange event. 4 p.m. A detective will do some checking in the area.

4:45 p.m. Belden. A caller reports a large rock slide blocking more than one lane.

4:47 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports she was approached by a male at the Cascades trail head. He locked his keys in his car. The car was a smaller tan model, possibly a Toyota Corolla. The caller said the man was talking to himself and she was a little scared of his behavior. The information was transferred to CHP.

6:12 p.m. Lake Almanor. A caller reports a female got out of her vehicle screaming, “Call the cops,” and appeared to have a bloody eye. 6:24 p.m. The license plate returned an identity. A sergeant will attempt to contact the victim at her residence. 6:45 p.m. A deputy advised unable to locate the vehicle and Lassen County will look as well. 7:06 p.m. A sergeant checked the residence, no one was there but will continue to look.

8:59 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports that someone is sleeping in the trailer park’s laundry room. The caller said that she asked the subject to leave about an hour ago and he still hasn’t left. The subject is unknown wearing a dark hoodie and a back pack. He is tall and approximately in his 50’s. No weapons were seen. 9:23 p.m. The subject was issued a probation violation and possession of methamphetamine. A trespass warning was also given.

9:09 p.m. Quincy. A caller requests to speak to a deputy. She is trying to get a place to stay for a couple of nights. The caller stated she has reached out to the Crisis Center, and they advised her to contact the Sheriff’s Office. A deputy is already on the case. 10:05 p.m. A deputy advised already speaking to the caller earlier this evening about the issue. Dec. 13, 12:04 a.m. A deputy advised having contacted the caller and assistance is complete.

4:23 a.m. Graeagle. A caller reports that he is having issues with his son. The caller said his son is very wasted and is yelling in the street. The caller said that the subject is being aggressive toward him and his wife. The caller and wife are currently inside the main home and the subject has been staying in the camp trailer outside. The caller said his son does have a violent past and does carry a knife on his person. 5:37 a.m. A deputy advised contact with the caller. The subject is extremely intoxicated and has passed out for the night. The deputy suggested a follow up with the day shift, and an assist with the eviction. 10:18 a.m. The caller called back. The son is still there and causing problems. He has threatened to go to the neighbor’s house. The subject is in the camp trailer now. He carries a knife on his side, is a violent criminal, and went to prison two times for assault with a deadly weapon. 10:47 a.m. A deputy spoke with the caller who does not want contact at this time. He is concerned it may elevate the issue. The caller requests a drive by only.

7:11 a.m. Chester. A caller reports he just went off the road in a white Audi. There are no injuries. The incident took place on Hwy. 36 near the causeway.

8:24 p.m. Quincy. A caller is parked between Safeway and the hardware store and said her car is out of gas and nobody will help her. The caller contacted a tow company to see if they will bring her fuel for her car. The caller said she is having arm pain but does not need medical attention. She will drive herself to the hospital if needed. 8:36 p.m. The caller will call back if she needs assistance.

And the sign says: Snow not removed beyond this point

12:23 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports he is stuck in snow off of La Porte Road. His GPS told him to go this route to Sacramento. He crossed the Nelson Creek Bridge and can see a sign to Hot n Tot Creek. He is about a half-mile from there. The vehicle is stuck in the roadway. 12:33 p.m. The information was sent to CHP, they will try to reach him and get back to us if they cannot.

Drunk driver home for the holidays

1:15 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports an extremely intoxicated subject just got into her car and drove away. The subject is heading westbound on Main Street in Quincy. She left 10 minutes ago in a gold Avalanche, and the driver was named. 1:34 p.m. A detective checked the area of Old Highway and was unable to locate the subject. 2:05 p.m. CHP located the subject and took her into custody from the Dollar General parking lot. The subject was issued a drunk driver violation and taken to jail.

4:22 p.m. Crescent Mills. A caller reports a large boulder in the road. Citizens are trying to move it. The information was transferred to CHP.

6:35 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a vehicle accident approximately 13 minutes out of Quincy on Hwy. 70. There is one occupant who is out of the vehicle. No medical services are needed.

Rinse, repeat and pay those insurance premiums

6:37 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a vehicle off the roadway at Hwy. 70, just east of the Williams Loop. One vehicle is off the road. No description is given as the caller is unable to see due to darkness and snow. The solo occupant is okay, no medical needed.

7:02 p.m. Chester. A caller reports a rock slide on Hwy. 32, about 9.5 miles west of Hwy. 36, blocking the westbound lane. The rocks are approximately two feet in diameter.

Lost rescue dog needs another rescue

7:14 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a lost dog: husky mix, small, with a purple collar, timid, and female. The dog is microchipped. It is a recent rescue dog and is not familiar with the home location.

8:09 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a vehicle accident at Hwy. 70 and Greenhorn Ranch Road. The collision was between an ambulance and another vehicle. The ambulance crew reports a drunk driver. No medical needed. The ambulance did not stay on the scene but continued with a critical patient transport. 8:56 p.m. CHP advised out with the vehicle on the east side of Lee Summit.

9:19 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports items stolen from her car – a pair of pants and a gym bag. 9:49 p.m. A deputy advised the caller is unsure if the items were stolen or just misplaced. She will recontact with more information.

In for a long, cold night

11:57 p.m. Lake Almanor. CHP requests an agency assist, there are two vehicles stuck at Clifford Gate. One slid into the ditch, no injuries. The second vehicle can’t move, afraid to get more stuck. Lake Almanor Tow was given the location. The closest CHP is on Hwy. 32. 12/14 12:23 a.m. CHP advised now five vehicles are backed up. 1:12 a.m. County Roads in Chester was contacted, all are unavailable. No one will be in service until 6 a.m. 2:09 a.m. A deputy advised all parties are out.

11:59 p.m. Graeagle. A caller reports a power line down and sparking on the side of the road. While on the line, Rural Electric showed up on the scene to handle the situation.

1:07 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports an unknown neighbor is spinning donuts on a motorcycle and yelling at the callers’ husband. 1:55 a.m. A deputy advised all parties counseled and agreed to keep the peace. Proper restraining procedures were provided.

Another one bites the dust

5:07 a.m. Lake Almanor. CHP advises a downed tree at Clifford Drive and Walker near the Catholic Church. Vehicles can still get around but request a call into County Roads when they get in at 6 a.m.

5:23 a.m. Cromberg. A caller reports a downed line- not touching the road but unable to drive under it. The info was transferred to CHP.

5:32 a.m. Portola. CHP reports a vehicle spinout on A15 near Trunk Road.

5:51 a.m. Quincy. UPS dispatch reported an occupied vehicle in the snow bank at Hwy. 70 and Spanish Creek Bridge. Emergency Medical Services are not needed and it is unknown if the vehicle is still on the roadway. CHP is already aware.

5:59 a.m. Portola. A caller reports a power surge in the house and electronics are “smoking.” Eastern Plumas Fire was paged. 6:23 a.m. There is a downed tree on a pole. 6:38 a.m. Liberty Electric is enroute. 6:41 a.m. Liberty reports fire is clear.

6:08 a.m. Chester. A caller reports a vehicle stuck in snow heading eastbound on Hwy 36 near Cedar Lodge. The caller is calling Seneca for a co-worker who cannot get the call to go through. Info was transferred to CHP.

6:23 a.m. Westwood. A caller reports a power line down across her front yard. She lives in Clear Creek.

6:34 a.m. Cromberg. A caller reports a downed tree blocking traffic westbound near Camp Layman on Hwy. 70.

6:48 a.m. Portola. A caller reports 20 inches of snow on A-15. Several people are stuck in the snow, several more people are getting stuck. The caller requests County Roads come to help. 6:53 a.m. The information was sent to County Roads. They are slowly working on it.

6:57 a.m. Portola. A caller reports being stuck in the snow, at Quincy Avenue, in a brown Subaru Outback. 7:31 a.m. A detective was unable to locate the vehicle. 7:36 a.m. The vehicle was located on Green Street and Hwy. 70. 8:28 a.m. The subject was given a ride home.

7:07 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a friend is stranded in a snow bank near Cedar Lodge near Hwy. 89 and Hwy. 36.

7:24 a.m. Crescent Mills. CHP received a call from a person who said they think that County Roads is stuck in the ditch on Arlington Road. They will be sending a unit to the area. 7:29 a.m. County Roads reported they are okay.

Where’s the beef? Save the pork!

7:31 a.m. Quincy. An anonymous caller reports a mom pig and four babies are safe at an address on Bell Lane. The information was sent to Animal Control.

Pop! Bam! Pow! Batman appearing outside Gotham

7:46 a.m. Greenville. A caller reports he saw a flash, heard a pop and now there is no power.

8:05 a.m. Blairsden. A caller requested an ambulance for his wife who is having chest pain. 8:26 a.m. Fire requested County Roads plow as the ambulance can not get to this residence. Info was sent to County Roads. 9:24 a.m. The patient was transported.

8:06 a.m. Taylorsville. A caller reports a downed phoneline at the intersection of Portsmouth and Thompson in Taylorsville.

8:30 a.m. Chilcoot. A caller wants to talk with a deputy about the loss of money due to a contractor not completing work at a second home in Minnesota. 2:49 p.m. A deputy attempted to contact the caller but there was no answer so left a voicemail.

8:41 a.m. Portola. A caller reports the 7-11/Sierra Energy office will be closed until Dec. 20 due to Covid. She is requesting extra patrol checks.

8:45 a.m. Quincy. A caller requests a check on an elderly neighbor. Her son is acting crazy, he is yelling in the driveway and banging around. 9 a.m. A sergeant requested an ambulance for a subject with flu symptoms. 9:15 a.m. The sergeant advised the male half was gone on arrival. He was in a verbal argument with the neighbor over taking his mom to the hospital. The ambulance is on the scene.

9:50 a.m. Quincy. The power is out. All lights of the stoplight in front of Safeway are out.

10:16 a.m. Lake Almanor. CHP received a call from a woman who said her husband is on oxygen and the power is out. The line is across her yard, no medical requested at this time. 10:50 a.m. The caller is fine and confirmed that she has not contacted PG&E. The line is attached to her home but off at the pole.

Locked out? Or locked in?

10:25 a.m. Quincy. A call came concerning the Courthouse Annex elevator. Contact was made with the courthouse security who said they still have no power and the doors to the elevators are shut. They will double check and call back if need be.

10:28 a.m. Chester. A caller reports a power line down over a building. The ground is still attached to the pole on one side. They will notify PG&E. 10:43 a.m. A sergeant responded to assist. Fire will handle.

10:30 a.m. Quincy. CHP received a call of a transformer smoking at West Ranch Road and Hwy. 70. Quincy Fire was paged. 10:38 a.m. PG&E will contact with an ETA. 11:07 a.m. Advised PG&E on the scene, all units clear.

11:11 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports the power is out and he wants to know what the ETA is. The caller was advised that we don’t have that information. He can contact PG&E.

11:13 a.m. Meadow Valley. County Roads reports a semi-truck at Bucks Lake Road near Tollgate has no chains and is trying to make a U-turn. The info was transferred to CHP.

We were expecting your call

11:34 a.m. Quincy. A caller just wanted to let someone know he is without power.

12:57 p.m. Portola. A caller reports a neighbor is on Megan’s Law and for the last week there have been two under age females coming and going. They were seen last night. 4:03 p.m. An officer will follow-up and handle the incident.

1:38 p.m. Berry Creek. A caller advised a contract worker was coming to her home to do her floors and is now stuck near Berry Creek on the Oro-Quincy Highway. The caller was advised to call Butte County to handle.

1:43 p.m. Quincy. A caller began rambling about peoples’ astral projections at him and he is fighting for his life. The government is trying to kill him. 2:59 p.m. A sergeant spoke to the subject who just wanted the information on file.

2:44 p.m. Portola. A radio notification came in of a down tree about one mile south of Grizzly Store at Lake Davis.

Bad time for broken windows

2:49 p.m. Blairsden. A caller reports her vehicle was damaged by falling tree limbs. The windshield is broken out, wipers and dents to the hood. The landlord requests she make a report of the damage. 3:07 p.m. The caller was recontacted and advised to take pictures of the damage then contact records for a copy of the report. The event took place on a new road that is not on the map yet.

Can’t you squeeze me in?

2:57 p.m. Quincy. A caller is with North Fork Clinic and a patient walked in very agitated. She left making suicidal statements after learning she didn’t have an appointment today.

3:07 p.m. Lake Almanor. A sergeant advised being out with a vehicle that is plunged into the snow bank. 3:26 p.m. The sergeant advised the vehicle is back on the roadway.

3:15 p.m. Portola. A caller reports lines fell across their truck in the driveway and road. It is unknown what kind they are. The caller was advised to remain in the home. Fire will respond to check the lines. 3:26 p.m. Fire advised they are phone lines. 3:51 p.m. The property owner called and had no information about what to do. 3:56 p.m. The situation was turned over to the City of Portola.

4:29 p.m. Chester. A caller requested a welfare check on her friend. She is unsure if he is home alone. The caller advised he was really upset and crying and has made suicidal threats in the past. 4:56 p.m. A sergeant advised contact with the subject and his father. The victim said he is fine and seemed unsure why the call was requested.

Whoops! Where d’ya go?

7:29 p.m. Lake Almanor Peninsula. A caller reports a female was sledding down the hill and went into the lake and no one can find her. The 33-year-old subject was identified. Search and Rescue were paged to the west side of Little Dyer Mountain, 4.6 miles SW of Westwood. 7:34 p.m. They have not been able to locate her for the past five minutes. The subject was sledding in a blue kayak and they can’t locate the female or the kayak. 7:36 p.m. The subject was located and is okay. SAR was cancelled.
