Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios is one of the thousands of people who got stuck in the chaos at one of Canada’s busiest airports.

The tennis star and his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi were amongst the many travellers who have found themselves dealing with delayed flights and lost luggage at Toronto Pearson Airport this week.

On Wednesday, Hatzi shared a selfie story on her Instagram, which showed the couple lying on the floor using a backpack as a pillow.

She captioned the shot: “The reality of delayed flights & lost luggage…”

She added Toronto, Ontario as the location.

As of Thursday, the couple appears to have made it to the Bahamas, based on their Instagram stories. It’s not clear whether the couple’s lost luggage made it to their destination.

Kyrgios was at Wimbledon on Sunday, where he played and ultimately lost against Novak Djokovic. The controversial player was also fined for swearing at the match, which was attended by Prince George, Prince William and Kate Milddleton’s son.

While the stories of delays and lost luggage out of Pearson have been on-going for the past few months, it appears authorities at the airport are amping up their efforts to guide travellers as best they can.

Earlier this week, they released an online dashboard that indicates the busiest time to travel from each terminal.

They’ve also released a travel hub, complete with infographics to help travellers make their way through the country’s largest airport as seamlessly as possible. One tip they have for travellers: Skip the baggage carousel by not travelling with a check-in bag, and instead travel with a carryon. It also recommends completing Advanced Declarations and the ArriveCan app for Canadian customs, before arriving at Pearson.
