“Hey, I’m Chucky, wanna prey?”

SYFY the other day announced that “Chucky” will be back this coming Halloween season, with Season 2 of Don Mancini‘s hit series officially set to premiere on October 5, 2022!

On the heels of a huge Saturday night at the San Diego Comic-Con, SYFY drops the full trailer for the second season of “Chucky”, which is loaded with great Chucky one-liners and the tease of the promised return of Glen and Glenda (above), the genderfluid child of Chucky and Tiffany, referenced in the first season of “Chucky” but not actually shown on screen since the film Seed of Chucky!

In the upcoming “Chucky” Season 2, Lachlan Watson (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) will be playing returning character. Will we see the character(s) in doll form?

Meg Tilly (Psycho 2, Body Snatchers), Gina Gershon (Bound, Killer Joe), Joe Pantoliano (Memento), Tony Nappo (Saw II), and Sutton Stracke (“Real Housewives”) also star.

Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly will both be back for “Chucky” Season 2, with returning cast also including Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.

Devon Sawa will be playing a new character in the second season, with Lara Jean Chorostecki (NBC’s “Hannibal”) more recently signing on in an undisclosed role.

For the first season, Brad Dourif returned as Chucky and Tilly as Tiffany, which continued the storylines from the *original* movies and their recent sequels, Curse and Cult of Chucky.

“Chucky” has been described as a “fresh take on the franchise” that “explores Chucky’s character with a depth that is uniquely afforded by the television series format.”

“Chucky” is a continuation of the iconic film franchise chronicling the murderous escapades of the notorious killer doll. In the TV series, Chucky crosses paths with archenemies, old allies and new prey, as he seeks to inspire fear and mayhem wherever he goes. After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy.

“Chucky” Pride Marathon Takes Over SYFY This Week!

Played by Matt Frewer, 1980s television personality Max Headroom is returning to life with a brand new reboot series from SpectreVision, Deadline is reporting this afternoon.

And yes, Frewer will be back as Max Headroom for the new series from SpectreVision, Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah‘s company which was behind Mandy and Color Out of Space.

Max Headroom was “the world’s first artificial intelligence TV personality,” played by Frewer under heavy makeup. The glitchy character hosted music videos and even served as the spokesman for New Coke in the ’80s, in addition to once having his own television show.

Christopher Cantwell (“Halt and Catch Fire”) will write and run the reboot for AMC Networks.

Deadline reminds, “Known for biting commentary, quick wit and manic glitching, the supposedly computer-generated TV host played by Frewer was first introduced in the 1985 British cyberpunk TV movie Max Headroom: 20 Minutes into the Future. He became an instant pop culture phenom and went on to host a music-video show, star in ads for New Coke, appear on the cover of Newsweek and headline his own primetime series, Max Headroom, which aired on ABC for two seasons from 1987-88.”

Matt Frewer is also on board to executive produce the return of “Max Headroom.”

Headroom most recently appeared in the film Pixels (2015).
